To determine the molecular conformation of chiral molecules, electronic circular dichroism (ECD) method is used for UV-Vis region and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) method for IR region.
It is not easy to obtain high quality VCD spectrum due to a generally weak signal of peaks in VCD spectrum.
