FVS-4000 Vibrational Circular Dichroism Spectrometer

To determine the molecular conformation of chiral molecules, analysis of the molecular frame and orientation of the various functional groups is essential. With optically active molecules, information about the chiral structure is readily revealed utilizing vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra compared to ordinary infrared absorption data. However, complete analysis of the chiral structure requires VCD spectra from higher wavenumber regions in addition to data from the fingerprint region.
JASCO has recently developed the Model FVS-4000 VCD spectrometer with a sophisticated optical system and dedicated data processing electronics. The FVS-4000 not only allows you to obtain VCD easily but also has several unique features such as a measurement range extension of 800 to 4000 cm-1, offering complete characterization of chiral molecular structures, in addition to a narrow band mode offering the highest sensitivity of any commercial VCD instrument.
JASCO's exclusive Spectra Manager fully controls the Model FVS-4000 and simultaneously displays the obtained IR and VCD spectra in a single window.
